Knight of Distinction: Mike Pelta
Centennial is proud to recognize this year’s first Knight of Distinction, Mike Pelta. Mike is part of Centennial’s CBI (Community Based Instruction) program that goes out several times a week to work in the community.
Mike is known around the school; he is always friendly and speaks to everyone. He walks around the school full of school spirit; he is a perfect example of a very spirited Centennial Knight! Mike loves to learn new things and challenge himself every day. Mike’s teacher, Jessica Kasten, commented, “If you come to school after waking up on the wrong side of the bed, Mike is the BEST person to help turn that around.”
Mike’s positive attitude, warmth of personality, and love of Centennial all add up to the character of a true Knight. It goes without question that Mike deserves this award. Mike is an extraordinary example of what a Knight of Distinction should be.
