The Fulton County School Nutrition Program (SNP) has over 600 food service professionals supporting 88 schools during the 2008-2009 school year. Our SNP serves approximately 67,000 meals per day! In one year we will serve over 12.1 million meals!
The School Nutrition Program operates as a fiscally independent entity within the district. The program's annual budget exceeds $40,000,000.
When we exercise, it is important to replace fluids in order to prevent dehydration. When we sweat, we release water from our cells and lose vital electrolytes such as sodium, potassium, magnesium, and calcium; and during hard exercise, energy stores in the form of carbohydrates.
That is why Fulton County School nutrition offers a wide range of water & nutritious beverages for maintaining the fluids or the fuels, plus some of the vitamins and electrolytes lost by the body during activity.
